Works awesome for my cat, but.....
My cat who has had months of persistent stomach issues following some treatments he had, has been tough to deal with due to his frequent diarrhea and accidents. I've found the food he tolerates the best royal canin hypoallergenic rabbit and potato and I feed him half a can of wet in the morning, and some dry in the afternoon and evening (much to my dismay since they aren't the best ingredient-wise and cost a lot). But what works works. His stool (despite being better on this diet) was still barely formed. The recommended dose of this pectillin says 1 tsp every 4 hours for 3 days (or until firm). Instead I've been giving him a single dose (or less) every 3rd morning in his wet food. It seems to only take a tiny bit to encourage that last bit of formed...ness... for him, and his stomach responds very well to it.Con: I can see it not working for some conditions, you may have something you need to treat, but it works awesome for my cat. The only con is the scent is very strong and floral. If your cat is a picky eater he will never touch this stuff. Luckily my cat would attempt to eat a brick if you put it in his food bowl, so that is no problem for me. He doesn't even seem to notice it, though I doubt my other cat would have anything to do with it if I had to give it to her... so know your cat... picky eater and you'll probably want to pass on this, or give it with a syringe at food time or something.

So far, so good (it being lightly sweetened seems to help)
If you cat has diarrhea for more than a day or two, please take him/her to the vet.My cat has food allergies so he's on a special diet and takes medicine as needed. Both the food and the medicine sometimes give him diarrhea. I give him probiotics and this does help keep the diarrhea in check (especially for just the food), but not always.I bought two diarrhea medications on Amazon, this was one. The first one I tried, the cat would not go near the food. If he smells medicine in his food, he won't touch it.So I tried this one and thankfully, he did eat it. It smells milder than the other and, per the package, is lightly sweetened. I think that is what made the difference. All cats are different, yours may not eat it.It has only been a few days so I have not see results yet, but this has pectin and kaolin so I really have no doubt it will work. My challenge is getting it IN the cat and since I am successfully getting this IN the cat, it has my vote.

Saved two of my families dogs
One of my dogs got poisoned and one of my mothers dogs as well. They ended up with diarrhea for several days and this product saved their lives. I always recommend taking your dog to the vet first and foremost but at the time at which our dogs were going thru this me nor my mom could afford to. This stuff coated their stomachs and the diarrhea was gone in one to 2 days for both dogs. You must not feed dogs woth diarrhea the first day or two. Then only give them a diet of boiled potatoes and sandwich bread for a few days until they can handle their dog food again is what I was told to do for our dogs. I always keep this product on hand in case we should ever have to use it again.

great for nausea
spilt most of the bottle so haven't used it as attended when we had a diarrhea issue from switching food but, had issue with one of our cat later on of not eating anymore and having dime like diarrhea. About 2 days later i had to start syringe feeding her, didn't go well and was stressful for the both of us. on 3rd day i decided to give her 2 1/2ml of this for her pooping issue or lack of that is and noticed about 2hrs later than she actually ate for the first time in days, after that back to not wanting to eat for a day and than it dawned on me, she was nauseated! not sure if a good idea to give her this for nauseation but, it works for that and she has eating everytime after i give it to her..

This is miracle medicine for ulcer in dog/read below on how to get your pet to take this medicine
Our dog has ulcer that a vet suggested to put him down since he's already 14. He kept pooping big puddle of blood for almost a month. We rushed him to emergency twice and they told us to put him down. We tried Tylan powder which helped with bleeding but diarreha mixed with blood did not get cured. I tried this Pectillin for 4 days now. Today his poop looks bright yellow normal color with no blood. I will keep using it for the next few days.Update: my dog doesn't poop in the house any more in the last few days. His poop still looks good color with no more blood.Note to some owners that couldnt get their pets to take this med. Pour the med onto a plastic spoon. You have to open your pet's mouth with one hand and the other hand pour the med into its mouth and quickly close it and hold it closed till he swallow it all. It seems mean but this med really works...this is the only way for me to get him to take this med since he wont take it on its own. I also hand feed him beef and sweet potatoes baby food paste same way. He already lost half of his weight. He is getting a lot better now.

Didn't work much to my kitten
Kitten had parasites before and got albon from vet, used it for 10 days as suggested, was told to have another stool sample after 2 weeks. Within that 2 weeks he started having diarrhea, watery i have to say, very serious but he was eating very normal, and very playful nothing looked different except his stool. Didnt want to visit vet so Bought this, discontinued food for 18 hours and gave him plain boiled chicken and pumpkin along with this medication did work little bit but when slowly switch back to normal kitten food with this medication diarrhea again. Maybe he still has parasites I said to myself, Took his stool sample to the vet, results came back negative. No idea what caused his diarrhea. Vet gave me metronidazole, twice a day for 7 days. Gave him the first dose ASAP I got home and next morning very firmed stool appeared till today( 2 days already). He's been on this kitten food for a month so I dont think it's because of the food. I'm adopting another kitten tmr, still believe this medication will work.
