Here’s info you may find helpful. I read a bunch of reviews before buying and decided to take my chances. My delivery didn’t come with any kind of insulation or ice packs. Thankfully it was a cool day and I drove up just as the delivery was arriving. Otherwise it would’ve sat in full sun on my porch and been melted when I got it later. Having said that, the coins I’ve opened so far have a look as if they have been slightly melted previously. See the photo. My box had two bags inside which together totaled 409 coins and just under 5 pounds. Only 2 of the coins had the wrapping coming off. The outside label says “Fort Knox Milk Chocolate Coins, 5 lb. Bulk Bag”, gives a “Best By” date more than two years from now, lists the website peppermints.com and the name “Black Tie Mercantile”. From reading the Q&A and other reviews it sounds like different sellers are selling the product on this same listing. The taste is smooth and good. We did a taste test with some See’s Candy chocolate coins and the taste was very similar. I just wish the actual chocolate didn’t look so bad.

The look of the coins is very nice, very nice imprint of Kennedy half-dollars, both the outer foil wrapper and the chocolate inside. The taste was good as well -- I was concerned how they would taste, especially buying something in bulk like this, but I was pleasantly surprised.As others mentioned, because of how they are wrapped, some are bound to have the foil wrapping come off, but it was only a handful in the batch I received.

Chocolate tasted good & pricing was reasonable.

I searched for these everywhere for a 50th anniversary party and couldn't find them at a reasonable price. I was so excited to have them delivered to me at such a great price!!

I purchased these for a pirate theme birthday party to put in the pinata. There were only a few that came out of the wrapper but other than that they were a hit. The chocolate tasted great and I am very picky about my chocolate.

These chocolate coins are perfect! They are much nicer than those I've purchased in the past from other places. I would recommend them to anyone looking for chocolate coins.

We were having a pirate party and I bought these as gold coins to hand out as booty. Everyone loved them.

Looks the same as advertised. taste can be better.
